Game to watch out for this summer
With not many good games released so far and after a little bit of a dry spell, I thought this post would make sense to ensure that people are aware of the upcoming games for the rest of the year.
There have only been a small amount of good game releases so far, some include the new Wolverine game, and the latest Chronicles of Riddick Game, but this will soon be picking up as You Are about to see below.
The first big release which is coming out in only a few days from now is Guitar Hero Metallica. If you love Metallica, metal or just love Guitar Hero you will want to get this game because it comes with an awesome setlist from Metallica and aroud 20 other artists.
Another one to watch out for is Terminator Salvation which is released on the same day as Guitar Hero Metallica. This game follows the storyline of the upcoming Terminator film, Terminator Salvation. It's tricky to say if this will be a good game because it's based upon the upcoming Terminator film meaning the quality of the game may not be very good because it's a movie game.
Now, heading into the beginning of June, you can look forward to seeing some of the following:
The Sims 3, although I am not at all a fan of these games, no doubt this one will be massively popular and you can expect everything you love from the original games, aswell as a whole bundle of new features to discover.
Next up is Prototype, this looks like an odd game, granted it looks very good but very odd. It would have been nice to see a demo of this game before it's released but I guess there's still some time.
Every Batman fan will want to get this game, Batman Arkham Asylum. The new Batman Arkham Asylum game looks amazing and hopefully we won't be let down. There is some worries about the release date though because it was planned for June however there was some news that it was going to be delayed.
Yet another movie based game is Ghostbusters however this is meant to be released on the same day as Batman. There is some confusion around the release date of this one aswell because there are rumours that Sony have payed for an exclusive rights period for the PS3, but we'll have to wait and see what happens.
Into July we will see the release of the Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince game which, Just Like Terminator Salvation, will be an unknown because as it's a movie game, plus Harry Potter, the game quality may wobble. Although I'm sure hard core Potter fans won't think twice about buying it.
Now comes the games that are set for later in the year but within those few months there are some real good ones. These include the sequel to the racing game that brought rally games to the life, Dirt 2. Other games include Max Payne 3, another addition to the Rock Band series, The Beatles: Rock Band which also come with a range of brand new instruments. Other additions to the game calendar include Need for Speed Shift, Bioshock 2, Bad Company 2 and finally the much anticipated, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2.
There is certainly a huge amount of look forward to on the run up to Christmas and I'm sure that there will be a few more that pop up onto the radar in the next few months, most likely a few Guitar Hero games considering about 5 are planned for the rest of the year.
