The End Of The Road For Star Was Is Still Far, Far Away

In the span of over 30 years, Star Wars has become a staple in the pop culture landscape with six films, and numerous book, comics, and video game adapatations.The number of people you seeing wandering around happily wearing Star Wars t shirts shows that the interest is not waning yet.

With a dizzying assortment of weird alien creatures and futuristic planets as imagined by director George Lucas, the series has sparked the imagination of viewers everywhere.The various planets in the Star Wars galaxy ally together to form the Galactic Empire, aided by the development of interplanetary lightspeed travel.

In 1977, Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope was released, the first of the series.The surprise hit reasonated with the general populace and became a global phenomenon, spawning two additional movies to complete the epic saga.Sequels for A New Hope were released, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi, which combined with A New Hope formed the Original Trilogy of Star Wars films.

The first few movies revolved around Luke Skywalker, a young boy who joins a rebel group in order to overthrow the evil, dictatorial Empire, and rescue the beautiful Princess Leia.The crafty Han Solo and his loyal sidekick Chewbacca round out the cast of characters.Helping Luke defeat the evil Empire is his discovery of the Force, a power used by Jedis to perform astonishing mental and physical feats.If you particularly like a specific character you can be sure to find a Star Wars t-shirt or poster that features the character if you feel the need.

Three additional Star Wars movies were released, collectively referred to as the Prequel Trilogy.The additions to the franchise were The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, and Revenge of the Sith, Episodes I, II, and III, respectively.The prequels told the tale of young Anakin Skywalker, and how he became the strongest, most powerful man in the Empire, Darth Vader.

There is source material for an additional three episodes, as the original plan was to have nine episodes for the entire saga.A live-action television series is also being considered.No doubt the television series will lead to more merchandise including a number of Star Wars tees.
