DUBBING FROM VHS to DVD?
Here's the deal. I have a panasonic VHS-DVD dubbing machine. I also have lots of old videos (Disney-Sesame Street etc.) that I purchased but now want to put on DVD. When I try and dub them it tells me they are protected. Something about a copy protect tab... Does anyone know how I can make this work? Where is that tab & can I remove it? I am assuming I'm not breaking the law since I'm not selling or sharing them, merely changing the format. Please advise. THanks!
I'm not too familiar with this but does it have anything to do with the tab on the VHS tape that is usually missing on videos that you buy at the store? The tab is what keeps You From recording onto the VHS tape. For blank tapes it has the plastic tab that allows you to record on it. To tape onto VHS tapes where the plastic tab has been removed I always put a piece of scotch tape over it. I'm not sure if this would work but it's worth a try.
