Is it too late to get financial aid and get enrolled in community college?
I have never went to college before and just decided I should do something about that, but I don't know anything about it really. I did FAFSA once but then was just too busy working and with life to manage school too, so I never enrolled.
Is it too late to get financial aid and get enrolled in online classes starting next month?
I know it seems dumb to be asking on here instead of calling the school, but I'm looking for personal experience from someone who knows something about it.
Nope. Its never too late for a community college! Im actually trying to get my boyfriend to sign up as we speak..
Since classes start august 24th for most schools in general for the fall term your gonna have to be on top of things!
1st off you have to redo yor fasfa every year.. Its starts jan 1st for every year. You can stilll do your 2009 one. It doesnt take long as long as you have everything you need on hand.. tax returns for this year.. blah blah blah.. Im not too sure on the details because Im a dependent on my parents so they filled in a majority of it..
Make sure you list your community college under the schools to recieve your fasfa.. It shouldnt take long fro them to recieve it.. from a couple of days to a week.
2nd (actually you should do this the same day as yor fasfa.. second thought do it as soon as your done reading this!) you have to apply to the community college.. alot of people (including me) dnt know you have to actually apply. BUT YOU DO! it doesnt take long to be accepted & everybdy gets accpetd..
3rd after being acceptd you have to see how much their offering you. im goin to a community college for this semseter then going to a university in jan. Because my parents make Too Much money i wasnt offered anything except a gift card for my books.. which is better than nothing. They may offer you grats, loans or scholarships.
After all this steps you'll be ale to talk to your conselors & learn how to register for classes & what not.. BE ON TOP OF THINGS BECAUSE COLLEGES DO NOT CALL YOU OR MAKE A SCHEDULE FOR YOU OR ANYTHING! YOU HAVE TO DO EVERYTHING YOURSELF!
