How do you get video/movies ect onto your iPod?

The video is in my libary right now. Its converted and everything, Its ready to be put onto my iPod. But whenever I Sync, move it to a different playlist/location keep it, Ect, I've literally tried EVERYTHING to try and put it on, and when I try to move it I get that little blockage sign for my mouse, Can anyone help me? Please?
