To me its a tied between the year 99 and 2000.
1999 was the Rock year the main event for Wrestlemania XV was the best and record setting: The Rock vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin. The Rock became the most popular wrestler. Triple H break out of DX and became Champion. The Rock n Sock connection began. The Hardy Boys and Edge & Christian Ladder Match at No Mercy was a classic match. Chris Jericho came to the WWF. Vince beat Triple H to win the WWF championship. The Rock had some of the BEST Promos ever. And Stephanie McMahon became a bad woman.
For 2000, Kurt Angle, Chris Benoit, Eddie(RIP), Tazz, the Dudley Boys all made their mark in the WWF. The Rock got the title back after not having it since Wrestlemania XV. The Rock won the Royal Rumble. The Ladder Match between the Hardys, Dudleys, and E&C at Wrestlemania 2000, then took it to another level at Summer Slam for TLC Match. Austin came back. Undertaker came back. Trish and Lita came to the WWF.
Your right those years where the best to whole thing change to many big no wrestlers fights with heart still and those that do well they getting old know WWE sucks right know even with the DX bit Smackdowns a joke ECw take it back to dumpster and well Raw s alrigth i hope the Rock comes back for one last match a dream match in one corner the rock and stone cold and in the other corner HBK and HHH this guy are the business so one last match won't hurt
